Established in 1992 with just over a dozen vendors in a parking lot, the Portland Farmers Market has grown into a thriving collection of six markets located throughout the city. Stop by one of the downtown locations – Saturdays at Portland State University or Mondays at Pioneer Courthouse Square – to pick up seasonal local produce sold fresh from the farm. You can also check out cooking demonstrations, swap recipes with local artisans and farmers, or even let the kids learn a thing or two in a cooking class!
