Located on two levels, Avalon Spa and Fitness Club is a luxurious 13,000 square foot facility. Guests enjoy locker rooms complete with separate relaxation lounges, whirlpool, steam room and sauna, complimentary tea, fresh fruit and personal amenities, robes, and towels. The spa features 11 treatment rooms and a full-service salon.

Massage
Massage Modalities offered at the Spa:
All of the following massages can be booked in 30, 60, and 90 minute increments. 30 Minute massages are express treatments and although they are full body, I would not recommend them if a client is looking to address an issue or wants deep relaxation.
Not all therapists can do all modalities. Only a few can do reflexology and pre/post natal massage, so please make sure to look and see before you book an appointment.
Remedial Massage:
We tend to book most massages as remedial massage. Remedial massages are going to be a combination of modalities; think a Swedish massage mixed in with some deep tissue work. Very relaxing and therapeutic at the same time.
Swedish:
A relaxing, smooth massage with gliding strokes and rhythmic kneading that utilizes light to medium pressure. This popular form of bodywork is a great way to help decrease stress and assist with the health and balance of your circulatory, nervous and lymphatic systems.
Deep Tissue:
Penetrating massage aimed at releasing deep muscle spasms, relieving pain, and alleviating dysfunction with slow, even pressure. Much deeper pressure then a Swedish Massage.
Aromatherapy:
Custom blends of pure essential oil extracts can deepen your relaxation or help to further decrease muscle tension. Aromatherapy massage can be any massage modality, it is mainly the addition of aromatherapy oils to the massage.
Reflexology:
Reflexology is the art of massaging the foot, hands and specific tender points which help to increase circulation and energy flow to the rest of the body, calm the nervous system, detoxify, and stimulate deep energy reserves.
Pre or Post Natal:
Our therapists are here to support and nurture you with a soothing treatment that will address back strain, tired legs and swelling ankles. Our therapists use specially placed body cushions to allows complete relaxation and comfort while lying prone, even late in pregnancy. We do not recommend massage in the 1st trimester.
Couples Massage:
Perfect for two friends or a couple who like to enjoy the good things in life side by side. Performed in a private room with two tables and two therapists. Each guest can choose their own modality.
